Selleys Paint Over Paintable Sealant 410G (White)

Selleys Paintover Silicone sealant is a paintable, neutral cure non acid silicone sealant for most interior and exterior applications. It cures by release of water to form a long lasting, tough, flexible silicone rubber.
Ideal for sealing areas where the benefit of paintability and convenience of water clean-up is desired. Paintable – can be painted over with oil and water based painted within the first 48 hours, where other silicones can’t be. Smooth flawless finish. Easy to use and can be used on damp surfaces. Superior adhesion to most building materials. Ideal sealant around bricks & concrete, window frames, tiled and wooden fixtures, particularly when the sealant will be painted. Optimum adhesion is achieved on ceramics, glass, most metals, most plastic, rubber, glass and cement.

Handy Tips

• When first applying product, extrude a small amount onto a piece of scrap material to ensure a smooth continuous flow of sealant.
• For a cleaner appearance mask both sides of the joint prior to filling. Remove tape before products skins.
• Work in sections that can be completed before sealant skins. Tooling off and tape removal must be completed before skinning occurs or a rough surface may result so working in sections allows for a better finish.
• To avoid paint cracking apply at temperatures above 10°C and do not apply paint too thick.
• In exterior applications, protect from rain until firmly skinned.
